An Overdue Update
When I started this journal, I told myself I would post once a month, even if I had no progress. I did good on that for a while. The last few months have felt like a lot of work, and not getting anywhere -so I kept putting the post off again and again. The good news is, I finally have some stuff to show! Firstly, there’s the final box cover art on the landing page. I’m so thrilled with the work Karen has done on this, and it gives me some much needed energy to keep going. I preparation for sending out an email to a rather large list, I’ve worked on updating the web site to look less bad. AND last but not least the manual and box designs are coming together.
The last major piece of work to do before getting a playtest prototype printed is getting some rough illustrations in the manual for key gameplay concepts. I’ll be putting these together in Tabletopia and Photoshop, but the Tabletopia editor is a finnicky beast and I’ve been thwarted from making easy progress.
The good news is that once I have the Tabletopia version complete, I can send out links to those brave enough to try and play a game on the site. I am considering spending extra for the account that lets me publish on mobile devices, because I think that might be more approachable than the mouse and keyboard interface, but I have concerns about the players not being able to see enough on the smaller screens.
