A New Name

I'm pleased to say the writing work is coming along well, and I'm excited to present that work once I've collected it into a new manual and game materials. One of the delightful changes my writer has made is to include Theophilus and Vance as characters in the game. I'm so excited to share the bios she's written for all these interesting characters. With this work, I'll also be choosing the "shipping name" for the game. The top two titles I'll be researching are:

Haunting at Cragpoint Manor

(A Theophilus and Vance adventure)

The Curse of Bellehaven’s End

(A Theophilus and Vance adventure)

I chose the name "Ghosts & Lanterns" long ago when I had envisioned this as a computer game. It started out as sort of a cross between two old coin-op games: Lock 'N' Chase (rooms that can be modified), and Monster Bash (lighting as a game mechanic).

Here's some great cover art for the Intellivision version of Lock ‘N’ Chase

Remember when the game box art played such a big part in how you “remembered” the feeling of the game?
